William L. Whitted, 78 of Grand Rapids, Minnesota passed away Sunday August, 25, 2013 after a courageous battle with ALS. Bill was born in Deer River to Lloyd and Vera Whitted. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. Bill was a carpenter in the Grand Rapids area for 56 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Bill was preceded in death by three infant children. Surviving family includes his wife, Margaret; five children, John (Lori) Whitted of Grand Rapids, Ken (Joy) Whitted of Oregon, Ellen (Rocky) Burris of Grand Rapids, Nancy (Doug) Hanson of Cohasset, and Paul (Kelly) Whitted of Coleraine; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bruce (Joan) Whitted of Grand Rapids; and one sister, Sheila (Donald) Dorholt, of Grand Rapids.
