Verlie Mary (Gaarder) Erickson, 74, of Cohasset, MN, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. She was born June 4, 1942 in White Earth, MN to Mark and Mary (Schafbuck) Gaarder. She graduated from Mahnomen High School and married John Erickson on November 3, 1962. Verlie retired from Walmart. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and shopping. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and her animals. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Ray Granum; brother, Melvin; and a sister, Carol. Verlie is survived by her children, Greg Erickson of Soldotna, AK; Lisa (Adam) Trego of Bemidji, MN; Mike (Jen) Erickson of Grand Rapids, MN; brother, Marle; sister, Marilyn (James); four grandchildren, Garrett, Samuel, Kennedy and Hunter; one great-grandson, Wyatt; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
