Thomas W. Finn, 64, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly in Grand Rapids on December 6, 2009. Tom was born in Madison, Wisconsin to Warren and Nancy Finn. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1963 and from Bemidji State College in 1969. He worked for Manney's Shopper for 19 years. He had a strong passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, loved to hunt, and had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren K. Finn, and a stepson, Andrew Major. Surviving family includes his wife, Mary of Grand Rapids; mother, Nancy, of Hibbing; sister, Patty (Gary) Allman, of Cottage Grove; brother, Bob (Chris) Finn of Chanhassen; stepchildren, Bryan D. (Theresa) Major, Joseph A. (Jenny) Major; Toni M. (Todd) Huff. He was "Papa Tom" to nine grandchildren and had numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday Dec. 10 in the Libbey Funeral Home. Burial: Itasca-Calvary Cemetery.
