Terrence "Terry" Hanson, 73, of Cohasset, MN, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 in his home. He was born June 14, 1940 in Grand Rapids, MN to Lewis and Bernice (Best) Hanson. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School. Terry married Joanne Grandsinger on August 27, 1960 in Grand Rapids. He worked for 36 years at Blandin Paper Co. as a crane operator and crew leader until his retirement. Terry was a member of Good News Bible Church in Cohasset, MN and the "good ol' boys club" at the YMCA. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening, and visiting with friends and family. Terry was a man of his word and could be depended upon by anyone. He was a loving husband, great father, grandfather, mentor and a friend to all. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terrence "Lee" Hanson, Jr.; brother, Lewis Hanson; and grandson, Andy Hammerlund. Terry is survived by his wife, Joanne Hanson; daughter, Tammy Hanson-Hammerlund of Marcell, MN; brother-in "€"law, Ed Ford of Grand Rapids, MN; daughters-in-law, Misty Hanson of Cohasset, MN, Marsha Witherill of North Home, MN; 6 grandchildren, Amber Hammerlund, Brittany Hammerlund, Nathaniel Hanson, Wintra Gudmundson, Whitney Rice, Joe Rice; 5 great-grandchildren, Kambri, Brooke, Jayden, Knox, Noah; and many relatives and friends.
