Ronald V. DeBord, age 58, of Bovey, Minnesota, went home to be with our Lord Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his home. Ron was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Maynard and Mary Ann DeBord. He graduated from Greenway High School in 1973. Ron served in the U.S. Army. He worked for U.S. Steel for 22 years. Ron was a member of the NRA and a Certified Firearms Appraiser. Ronald enjoyed being in the north woods and the outdoors"€"hunting, fishing and trapping. He loved spending time with his family, watching his son play baseball, and listening to his daughter sing.Riding his Harley and treasure hunting were some of his favorite pastimes. He attended the Grand Rapids Assembly of God Church. Ron touched many lives and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by one daughter, Kayla DeBord; one son, John DeBord; the mother of his children, Heidi DeBord; mother, Mary Ann DeBord; two sisters, Debra (Rich) Reid and Karen DeBord; nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
