Roger L. Sanderson, 60, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota died March 29, 2013 at his home. Roger was born in Grand Rapids to George and Mary Sanderson. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1972. He served in the U.S. Navy 1972 "€" 1975 and was aboard one of the ships that recovered the Apollo 13 space capsule. Roger worked for School District 318 from 1978 until retiring in 2010. He enjoyed the years he worked at Forest Lake School. He lived life to the fullest. He loved sitting in the sun with a cold beer and the company of family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brothers and sisters, Mike Sanderson of Buffalo, Minn., Diane Lammon of Grand Rapids, Cheryl (Sonny) Schultz of Deer River, Curt (DeeDee) Sanderson of Grand Rapids and Brian Sanderson of Grand Rapids; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sharon Adams.
