Roger E. Fitzgerald, 75, of Fergus Falls, MN, formerly a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born November 30, 1939 in Hibbing, MN to Tom and Jane (Gift) Fitzgerald. Roger graduated from Grand Rapids High School and was a US Army Veteran. He married Karen Bergstedt in 1966. He worked for Blandin Paper Mill for many years as a sheet metal worker. He loved the outdoors, took great pleasure in spending time with his family and friends and served his church faithfully. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Fitzgerald and his parents. Roger is survived by his children, Patti (John) Zwiers of Fergus Falls, MN, Lynn (Darwin) Johnson of Alexandria, MN; brothers, Robert (Jean) Fitzgerald of Grand Rapids, MN, Donald (Jewel) Fitzgerald of Buckeye, AZ; grandchildren, Zakary, Thomas and Natalie Zwiers, Camille, Bryant, Matthew and Alexa Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Andrews-Libbey Funeral Home.
