Obituary

Rockford Freeman "Rocky" Cutsforth, 42, of Cohasset, MN, died Thursday May 20, 2010 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident near Nemo, South Dakota. Rocky was born in Minneapolis and moved to Grand Rapids with his family in 1973. After graduating from Grand Rapids High School in 1987, he worked at Cutsforth, Inc. He married Lynn Dahl on March 26, 1994. In 2000, he began a company that catered to the motorsports industry, Rox Speed FX. Rocky had a passion for the motorsports industry. When he saw a way to improve a new machine, he would work to get that done. Often when his co-workers came to work in the morning, Rocky would have already been there for hours working on a new part. He will always be remembered as the "Roxstar." His strong faith showed through in the way he treated others and conducted himself daily. Surviving family includes his wife, Lynn and children, Colton and Makenzie, all of Cohasset; parents, David and Marlyce Cutsforth of Cohasset; two brothers, Rob (Marnie) Cutsforth of Bellingham, WA, and Dustin (Tamara) Cutsforth of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Rynetta (Mike) Carter of San Antonio, TX, and Melinda (Mark) Nye of Indian Land, SC; and his maternal grandmother, Irene Hanson of Chetek, WI.
