Robert A. Dewey, age 75, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his home. Bob was born in Hawley, Minnesota to Floyd and Eileen Dewey. He graduated from high school in Felton, Minnesota in 1956 and served in the U.S. Navy 1958-1962. He married Mary Lou in Pengilly, MN on May 2, 1964. Robert worked for Hawkinson Construction in Grand Rapids for many years and retired in 2000. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and restoring rusty iron / antique tractors. He was a member of North Central Minnesota Farm & Antique Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Fossen and Elizabeth Carlson, and a nephew, Brent Fossen. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; brother Daniel Dewey; nieces, Crystal El Naashar of Cohasset, Minn., Stacy Carlson of Baxter, Minn., Rebecca Woods of Felton, Danielle (Brian) Scheffler of Barnesville, Minn., and Cheryl (Vince) Jones of Centennial, Colorado; nephews, Kevin Fossen of Cohasset, Forrest Fossen of Grand Rapids, and Steven (Rebecca) Mannion of Perth, Australia; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
