Robert N. "Bob" Patterson, 82, of Grand Rapids, died on Monday February 6, 2012 at Evergreen Terrace. Visitation: 10:00 to 10:30 AM Saturday February 11, with the Funeral Service at 10:30 at Libbey Funeral Home. Bob was born February 10, 1929 at Bagley, MN to Earl and Lillian Patterson. He attended and graduated from Remer High School where he met Dolly Butterfield. Bob and Dolly were married on Jan. 1, 1948. Bob worked in the mines for a time and then served in the Marines. In May 1959, Bob and Dolly purchased and operated the business that became Patterson's Store. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly in 2004; three brothers, Earl Patterson, Cliff Patterson and George Patterson; and a sister, Opal Patterson. Surviving family includes his, daughter Brenda Nichols, and son Kenneth, both of Grand Rapids; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gen (Earl Maness) Mergen, Remer, Minn., Lois Hutchings, Marquette, Mich.; and a brother, Glen (Helen) Patterson, Remer, Minn.
