Petal Lucia Thompson, age 66, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota died September 29, 2010 at Grand Village Lodge. Petal was born January 10, 1944 to Robert and Lucia Wilson in Shanghai, China where her parents met and married. When World War Two ended, she moved with her family to Southern California. Petal met Cliff while riding motorcycles across the state of California. They were married in 1968. In 1974, after their three children were born, they moved to Grand Rapids. Petal worked at quite a few jobs, especially at the ODC license bureau, then as the secretary at the Moose Club. Throughout the years, Petal has been most known for her avid love for the Minnesota Vikings and her ability to have fun with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving family includes her husband, Clifton; children, Colleen (Tim) Bishop, Cathleen (Chris) Reichmuth, and Frank (Liz) Thompson; seven grandchildren, Josh, Lexi, Abbie, Tim Jr., Breaunna, Hallie, Aiyanna; brother, Bob (Gloria) Wilson; and her dogs, Keisha and Goldie.
