Pearl I. Phelps, 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Pearl I. Phelps, 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Pearl was born in Grasston, Minnesota. She graduated from Grasston High School in 1936. She married George Phelps. They lived in Bloomington and Buffalo, MN. After George's death, Pearl lived in Florida for about 20 years, and then moved to Grand Rapids in 1993. She enjoyed playing table games and garage saling. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Travis Phelps; brother, Maynard Eastman; sisters, Valois Boyce, Mary Falk, and Minnie Dickmeyer. She is survived by three children, George Phelps, Lester Prairie, MN, David Phelps (Judy Brown), Grand Rapids, and Diana (Tom) Boyd, Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy, Tammy, Jessica, and Matthew; two great-grandchildren, David and Kelly, and a sister Evelyn Regenold, Bloomington, MN. Visitation is from 12:00 until the 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday January 11 at Grace Bible Chapel in Grand Rapids. Burial: Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
