Patricia "Patti" Rose (Cahill) Erven, 74, of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Essentia Hospital, Duluth, MN. She was born July 1, 1940 in Pipestone, MN. She graduated from Denfeld High School, Duluth, MN. Patti was a member of the Solid Rock Church of God and had a strong faith in Jesus. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Patti loved her family, grandchildren and her dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Cahill and Gertrude Bakke; son, Joel Houchins, and brother, Vincent Cahill. Patti is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Ruthie) Houchins of Blaine, MN, Judie (Loren) Klausen of Prior Lake, MN, John (Katherine) Houchins of Becida, MN; sisters, Annette (Roy) Hudson of Pensacola, FL, Laurel Peltier of Cloquet, MN, Bonnie (Bill) Kreitz of Cambridge, MN, Cindy Radke of Duluth, MN; and 7 grandchildren.
