Orville Hilding Erickson, 84, of Cohasset, MN passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the River Grand Assisted Living, Grand Rapids, MN with his wife, Lillian by his side. He was born March 1, 1932 in North Branch, MN to Hilding and Ruth (Koecher) Erickson. He graduated Cambridge High School, Cambridge, MN and married Lillian Nelson on October 20, 1951. He was a resort owner in Nevis, MN and Grand Rapids, MN areas for many years. Orville's passion was cars and he was a member of the Itasca Vintage Car Club. He had an adventurous life including fishing, panning for gold, and snowmobile racing to name a few. Orville and Lillian enjoyed wintering in Florida for the past 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Caroline Erickson; infant brother, Norman Erickson; son-in-law, Craig Westfield; and grandson, Gary Westfield. Orville is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillian Erickson; children, Candace (Dean) Odden of Fargo, ND, Cindy Westfield of Grand Rapids, MN, Chuck (Miriam) Erickson of Watertown, SD; sisters, Marlene (Jerry) Stone of Andover, MN, Carol (Lyle) Ramberg of North Branch, MN; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
