Norvall A. Olson, 72, of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 15, 2011 after a short bout with cancer. Norvall was born in Barrhead, Alberta, Canada to Millie and Olaf Olson. Norvall was a Minnesota resident since 1958 and worked as a custodian for Marsden Building Maintenance at the Foshay Tower and the IDS Building in Minneapolis. He retired in 2000 and moved to Grand Rapids in 2001. Norvall was a custodian at Grace Bible Chapel from 2004 to 2011. He enjoyed fishing and cutting and burning firewood. He also loved music and watching Television Ministries. Norvall was preceded in death by his wife Kathy in 1998, his parents, a brother, and a sister. Surviving family includes two sisters, Delores (Dave) Koivisto of Coleraine, Minnesota and Beverly Pompe of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; one brother, Richard (Sandy) Olson of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
