Nicholas L. Davison, 65, passed away after a long battle with cancer in his Grand Rapids home on December 7, 2009. Nicholas L. Davison, 65, passed away after a long battle with cancer in his Grand Rapids home on December 7, 2009. Nick was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Leslie and Margaret Davison. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Navy. He worked as a pressman for Gaines and Hansen Printing in New Hope. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Nick was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, George and William. Surviving family includes his wife, Sharon of Grand Rapids; one son, Nicholas J. (Cassandra) Davison of Forman, ND; three stepchildren, Ronald (Lisa) Romanelli of Grand Rapids, Michael (Elizabeth) Romanelli of Delavan, WI, and Carol Sue (Curt) Cook of Blaine; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Deanna) Davison of Cottage Grove and Randy (Mary) Davison of Pine City; and a sister, Judith Michalec of Forest Lake. Graveside service with military honors: 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 14 at the Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
