Neil Kevin "Pitney" Clark, 64, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, died December 22, 2012 at Grand Village. He was born at Walker, Minnesota to Charles Francis "Stub" and Dolores Clark. Neil spent his boyhood and youth in the Benedict, MN. From a very young age, Neil worked with his Dad at the Benedict Store, where he developed a strong work ethic. He graduated from Walker High School in 1966, then attended Bemidji Tech for Carpentry, and Oak Hills Bible Institute, graduating in 1970. While attending Oak Hills, Pitney met his future wife, Catherine Hanson from Grand Rapids. They married in 1971 and moved to Grand Rapids. Building and work projects, church involvements with Grace Bible Chapel, friends, grandkids, time in the woods or on the lake (usually with kids and dogs), shopping, making lefse and butterhorns, and any opportunity for eating--these are some of the things that brought him pleasure. Neil's relationship with God was secured by faith, believing Jesus' death, burial and resurrection paid the full price for his adoption into God's family. (Ephesians 2). Since suffering a stroke on Christmas Day, 2011, Pit was in Nursing Care at Grand Village on Hale Lake. On December 22, 2012, he was set free! He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Duane Cloutier, father-in-Law, Daniel Hanson Surviving family includes his wife, Catherine; five daughters: Melinda (Rob) Wendt, Proctor, MN; Kayla Clark (Kris Hammargren), Fairbanks, AK; Andra (Lynn) South, Cohasset, MN; Maribeth (Jim) Kerr, Warba, MN; Robin (Richard) Danielson, Marcell, MN.; two sisters: Sheila Cloutier of Burnsville, MN, and Kay (Rueben) Fordahl, Willard, MO; one brother: Larry (Ida) Clark, Prior Lake, MN; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a great many nieces and nephews, and his Boston Terrier, Frank.
