Monell Mons Monson, 82, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Waterview Woods Assisted Living, Eveleth, MN.

Monell was born in 1937 to Monell and Mable Monson in Missoula, MT. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School. Monell was employed with Blandin Paper Company for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his father, Monell Herman Monson; his mother, Mable Ann Monson; and his step-father, Harold Perman Monson.
Monell is survived by his daughter, Janell (Andrew) Sieja of Milford, OH; his brother, Melvin Monson of Hamilton, MT; and his dear friends, Bernice Chellico of Nashwauk, MN and her daughter, Gina Plaisted of Nashwauk, MN.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Libbey Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN followed by the 3:00 P.M. Funeral Service at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will be at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN.
