Michael "Twig" R. Bowman, 69, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Evergreen Terrace. He was born March 8, 1947 to Robert and Blanche (Hardy) Bowman. Twig graduated from Grand Rapids High School. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War in the A3-47th Division of the 9th Infantry and a Purple Heart recipient. Twig enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing, curling, nature and especially his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bowman; and brothers, Robin and Philip Bowman. Twig is survived by his mother, Blanche Bowman McArdle of Grand Rapids, MN; brothers, Peter (Kris) Bowman of Brainerd, MN; Dennis Bowman of Grand Rapids, MN; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
