Maxine (Richards) Brogger, 89, passed away March 10, 2014. Maxine was born November 16, 1924 in Cass Lake, MN to Charles and Nora Richards. She grew up in the Cass Lake, MN area, graduating from Cass Lake High School. After graduation she worked at the Variety Store and the Box Factory. She married Alvin Brogger on March 2, 1946 in Cass Lake, MN. They raised their family on a dairy farm in Hubbard County, MN. They were married for 65 years. She enjoyed gardening, raising extra produce for sale in Cass Lake and helping with the farm work. She was very proud of their getting the Hubbard County Farmer of the year award for two years. She was very active in her church teaching Sunday School and active in the women's group. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; parents; stepfather, Henry Reuter; brother, Charlie Jr.; grandson, Henry; and nieces and nephews. She is survived by twin children, Doris (Edward) Burlingame of Eagan, MN and Dennis (Sheila) Brogger of Cohasset, MN; three grandchildren, Amy (Shawn) Bromen, Julie (Rob) Wedewer, Theresa (Tom) Blomer; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Jackson, Lucy, Kate, Lillian and Thomas Jr.; and nieces and nephews.
