Mary Ann (Nelson) Spawn, 77 of Goodland, MN passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 in her home. She was born September 11, 1940 in Grand Rapids, MN to Edward E. Nelson and Ethel M. (Wills) Nelson. She Married Richard Spawn on October 29, 1966 in Grand Rapids, MN. She worked as an assistant post master for the United States Postal Service in Goodland, MN. She was a member of the Goodland American Legion Auxiliary #575; Grand Rapids Moose Lodge #2023. Mary loved fishing, gardening, crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading, snowmobiling and four wheeling. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Spawn in 1991; parents; brothers, Alfred and Melvin Nelson; and a sister, Elsie Corrick. Mary is survived by her children; Rose (Jerry) Tollgaard of Swan River, MN, Ted (Mary Cossin) Spawn of Warba, MN, Ed Spawn of Goodland, MN; sister, Ellen Nelson of Duluth, MN; four grandchildren, Jacob Katzenberger of Detroit Lakes, MN, Chad Katzenberger of Coon Rapids, MN, Tanner and Brandon Spawn of Warba, MN; one great-grandchild, Samantha Katzenberger; many step-grandchildren; one gr-great-grandchild, Jade Riley; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
