Marlys Ann Bell, 69, of Balsam Township, Minnesota, formerly of Minneapolis, died at her home after a battle with cancer Sunday September 6, 2009. Marlys was born in Benson, Minnesota in 1940. She worked in the travel industry for over 30 years and retired from Northwest Airlines after 23 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Alma Jostad; husband, Richard Lee Olson in 1980; son, Maximillian Olson; and sister, Rose Marie Douglas. Marlys is survived by her husband, Craig W. Bell; sister, Lois (John) Wojack, Isanti, Minn.; children, Steven Olson, South St. Paul, Laurie (Mike) Anderson, Hager City, Wis., Kevin Olson, Grand Rapids, and Linda (Tim) Woltjer, Lindstrom, Minn.; daughters-in-law, Sheri Olson and Kim Wiechmann; nine treasured grandchildren; and a stepson, Craig A. (Shelly) Bell, Minneapolis. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11 in the Libbey Funeral Home, Grand Rapids. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12 in the Libbey Funeral Home with visitation from 10 until 11.
