Marilyn Joan (Herendeen) Davis, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Grand Village Nursing Home in Grand Rapids, on Saturday, June 1, 2019.
Marilyn was born February 17, 1937 in Grand Rapids to Burt and Remer Herendeen. She grew up and attended schools in Grand Rapids. She was united in marriage to David Davis in 1955.
Marilyn was an awesome wife and mother, raising 6 children in their home by Sugar Lake. Her greatest joy was having family around her. Gardening, playing cards, and square dancing were just a few of the things she enjoyed. She was a voting judge at Sugar Lake Hall for many years. Marilyn was active in church, Vacation Bible School, and religious education. She was an "Avon Lady", enjoying visiting with neighborhood ladies! She also loved setting hair in the beauty shop in Itasca Nursing Home and for many friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Burt and Remer Herendeen; brother, Robert Herendeen; brother-in-law, Nick Kovich; sister-in-law, Fern Kovich; and nephew, Ronald Herendeen.
Marilyn is survived by one brother, Frank (Dianne) Herendeen, her six children, Barb (Kerry) McKnight, Mary Lee (Tom) Radermacher, Chris (Teresa Fischer) Davis, Dale (Terri Mullin) Davis, Joan Wass, and Terry (Jennifer Barney) Davis; 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 35568 Foxtail Lane, Cohasset, MN, with a gathering of friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment in Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN. Pastor Mark Peske officiating. See online family guestbook at www.andrews-libbeyfh.com.
