Margaret "Marge" Grace (Ondrey) Holmes, 88, of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Kylar Glen Hospice House. She was born May 12, 1928 in Streator, IL to John and Mary (Stofen) Ondrey. She married Clarence Holmes on February 12, 1945. Marge was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Cohasset, MN. She enjoyed painting, fishing, bowling and going to the casinos. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Eric Holmes; brothers, John and Donald Ondrey; sisters, Mary Moran, Josie Retoff, Ann Reed, Leona Christenson and Carol Newman. Marge is survived by her husband of 72 years, Clarence Holmes of Grand Rapids, MN; children, Lenitta (Ernest) Hallam of Deer River, MN, Donald (Kathy) Holmes of Grand Rapids, MN; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and Steven Hallam, Donald and Heather Holmes; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 step-gr-grandchildren; 5 gr-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
