Mabel (Mathiason) Urevig, 96, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Grand Village, Grand Rapids, MN. She was born February 9, 1919 in Wallace, SD to Ole and Clara (Sunne) Mathiason. Mabel married Leonard Urevig on July 31, 1937. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Urevig; parents; sons, Kenneth Urevig and Jerry Urevig; brothers, Palmer, George and Raymond Mathiason; and a sister, Violet Bjerke. Mabel is survived by her daughter, Judy (Rick) Butler of Rosemount, MN; daughter-in-law, Linda Urevig of Grand Rapids, MN; six grandchildren, Leslie (Andy) Rauh, Doug Butler, Brian (Karen) Urevig, Jason Urevig, Kelly (Brandon) Larson, Mindy (Joe) Ruzynski; 13 great-grandchildren.
