Lucille M (Larson) Libbey, 102, of River Falls, WI, and a longtime resident of Grand Rapids, MN on Pokegama Lake, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in River Falls, WI surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born May 20, 1913 in Nerstrand, MN to Andrew and Serina (Stenbakken) Larson. She attended the University of Minnesota and married William Wesley Libbey. Lucille moved to Grand Rapids in 1934. She was active in PEO, AAUW, Itasca Players, Job's Daughters, Cub Scouts, and Campfire Girls. Lucille was a columnist for the Herald Review. She created the Winkles line of pottery figures which were very popular at craft shows. Lucille was devoted to her six children and was loved by one and all. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wesley Libbey; sister, Delta Mooers and her parents. Lucille is survived by her sons, Bradford (Lydia) of Bellevue, WA, Keith (Patricia) of Afton, MN, William (June) of Northfield, MN, Robert (Virginia) of Sandpoint, ID, Richard (Donna) of Grand Rapids, MN; daughter, Cynthia (John) Gilpin of Afton, MN; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
