Louise C. (Stevens) Lane, 102, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Majestic Pines Assisted Living. She was born in old North Hibbing on October 3, 1915 to Ferdinand and Aurelia Stevens. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1933 and attended Hibbing Junior College. She married Russell Lane in Hibbing in 1936 and moved to Portland OR, returning in 1939 to reside in the Arbo area North of Grand Rapids. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and for many years a member of Arbo Homemakers. Louise was the Arbo town clerk for many years. She volunteered many years at Itasca Nursing Home. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1988; parents; and all her siblings. She is survived by three sons, Frederick of International Falls, MN, James (Donna) Lane of Grand Rapids, MN and David (Jennie) Lane of Clatskanie, OR; one daughter, Charlene (Donald) Garner of Grand Rapids, MN; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and 1 gr.-great-grandchild.
