Loretta Alma (Woebkenberg) Schmidt, 104, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. She was born February 1, 1913 in Todd County, MN to Joseph and Kathryn (Wolking) Woebkenberg. She married Hubert Schmidt in 1946. Loretta was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Wendigo Variety Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Schmidt; parents; brothers, Joseph Woebkenberg, Jr., Fred Woebkenberg; sisters, Leona Frank and Rita Stuckel. Loretta is survived by her children, Allen (Sue) Schmidt of Brainerd, MN, Dale Schmidt of Grand Rapids, MN, Lynette (Randy) Gustafson of Falcon Heights, MN, Brenda (Rich Jones) Erickson of Centennial, CO; sisters, Marie Rohling and Kaye Klein both of St. Cloud, MN; four grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Memorial Mass: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 315 SW 21st St, Grand Rapids, MN with a gathering of friends one hour prior to the Mass.
