Linda Lou (Hanson) Schwartz, age 75, passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Cerenity Care Center, White Bear Lake, MN.

She was born on August 14, 1950, to Chester and Wilma (Gist) Hanson.  Linda and her five brothers grew up on their parents' small farmstead in Cohasset.

After graduating from Grand Rapids High School, she enrolled in secretarial courses at the Itasca State Community College.  After graduating there she moved to the cities and spent most of her working career as a Sales & Marketing Assistant.

Linda enjoyed traveling back to Grand Rapids to see family and spend time at her parents' lake home.  She loved to read, put together puzzles and spend time with her grandchildren. As a resident at the care center, she looked forward to playing bingo and also discovered a hidden passion for art. Her room was covered in her beautiful paintings and art projects.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Wilma Hanson.  She is survived by her daughters, Kris (Chris) Thomsen-DeWall and Melissa Schwartz; grandchildren, Megan (Ben) Johnson, Tyler Thomsen; great-grandson, Waylon Johnson; siblings, Jerry (Barb) Hanson, Denny (Carol) Hanson, Donny (Kathy) Hanson, Paul (Wendy) Hanson, Jim (Debbie) Hanson; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:00am at Libbey Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN followed by the 12:00pm funeral service. Rev. Charlie Nelson will officiate. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN.
