Leslie Maxine Olson, age 65, of Cohasset, MN. Leslie Maxine Olson, 65, of Cohasset, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord, her deeply missed husband, Alfred, and her son, James, on August 16, 2009. She dedicated many years of life volunteering at Children's Vision International in Bogota, Colombia, KJNP in North Pole, Alaska, Grand Rapids Food Shelf, and the Community Cafe. She was a faithfully involved member of the Grand Rapids Assembly of God Church. Leslie was a strong-willed woman with an enormous love for the Lord that enabled her to serve and meet the needs of others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; parents, Homer and Dorethea Walden; son, James; and sisters, Pamella Still and Leota Palmer. She is survived by her sons, Alfred (Lori) Olson, Nashwauk, Gary (Ann) Olson, Hill City, and Dennis (Stephanie) Olson, Big Lake, Alaska; fifteen grandchildren; her sisters Sandra Kostli, Billings, MT, Sharon Weibers and Odette Ashworth, both of Miles City, MT, and Paula Jackson, Cohasset. It is Leslie's preference is that instead of flowers, donations be made to KJNP or Children's Vision International by way of Grand Rapids Assembly of God Church. Visitation is from 12:00 until the 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service on Friday, August 21 in the Grand Rapids Assembly of God Church.
