Leota "Bonnie" Lavonne Gibbs, age 84, of Cohasset, MN passed away at the Emeralds of Grand Rapids, MN on October 30, 2023.

Bonnie was born in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area on January 6, 1939, to her proud parents Otto and Loma (Powell) Laine. As a young girl, Bonnie grew up in the Jacobson/Floodwood area. Her family eventually relocated to Clinton, Iowa, where she completed her high school education. It was in Clinton where Bonnie would meet Emmett Anderson. On May 30, 1959, Bonnie and Emmett were united in marriage.

The couple made Clinton their home for approximately 30 years and during this time, were blessed with the arrival of two children, Charles and Barbara. Bonnie devoted herself to her family, supporting them as wife and mother.

Bonnie and her family relocated to Blackberry, Minnesota, where she continued to be a homemaker. Emmett passed away on December 19, 1996. Later in life, she met and married Everett Gibbs, who continued to bring joy and companionship into her life.

Bonnie had a talent for knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful works of art with her skilled hands. She also enjoyed garaging sale-ing with Everett. Bonnie found comfort and solace in reading her Bible, drawing strength and inspiration from its pages. She also enjoyed gathering with friends over a cup of coffee, sharing stories and laughter that created lasting memories.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ellen (David) Wilson; three grandsons: David Wilson III, Tyler Wilson, and Samuel Wilson; and granddaughter, Kaitlynn Rothfuss.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Emmett Anderson and Everett Gibbs; son, Charles "Chuck" Anderson; step-son, Arthur Gibbs; and sister, Darlene Batson.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Libbey Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN. Visitation will begin one hour prior at noon. Burial to follow at the Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
