Kirk Stanley Watson, 25, of Cohasset, MN passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Mary"s Medical Center-Essentia Health. He was born June 17, 1993 in Grand Rapids, MN to Stanley Watson and Kristine (Kangas) Watson. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 2011. Kirk was a great cook, having worked at several restaurants in Grand Rapids and Mankato, MN. He was a mill worker for Rajala Timber in Deer River, MN. He was an avid outdoorsman and a passionate sports enthusiast. Kirk was a defensive coach for the Grand Rapids youth and high school varsity Lacrosse teams. He was an official for soccer and hockey. Kirk was a very loving man with a huge heart and always had a smile.
He is survived by his parents, Stanley (Laurie) Watson of Grand Rapids, MN, Kristine Watson of Cohasset, MN; siblings, Sharalee (John) Hoard of Bovey, MN, Philip E. (Maura) Watson of Philadelphia, PA, Paul (Krislyn) Watson of Grand Rapids, MN; significant other, Emily Smith; nieces and nephews, Wyatte, Nevaeh, Aubrie, Cael and James "JT"; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Grace Bible Chapel, 2452 County Road 76, Grand Rapids, MN 55744, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
