Kenneth M. Urevig, 73, of Grand Rapids, Minn. died January 23, 2012 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital. Visitation is 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26 in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids. The Funeral Service is at 11:00 a.m. in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Kenneth was born in Fargo, North Dakota on February 25, 1938 to Mabel and Leonard Urevig. Kenneth lived in numerous Western cities and worked a variety of jobs, including policeman and truck driver, and especially enjoyed his summers farming in South Dakota. Ken moved to Grand Rapids 20 years ago where he worked as custodian for First Evangelical Lutheran Church, self-employed painter, and security guard. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving family includes his mother, Mabel, of Grand Rapids; brother, Jerry (Linda) of Grand Rapids; sister, Judy (Rick) Butler, of Apple Valley; and nieces and nephews.
