Katherine Holland, age 82, of Nashwauk, Minnesota, formerly of Bethel, Minnesota, died at her home on April 19, 2011. Katherine was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Henry and Lettie Olson. She was united in marriage to Leon Holland on June 6, 1947. She moved to Snowball Lake in mid 1980's and to Nashwauk in 1993. Katherine was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, three brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren, Kevin Smith and Katie Rose Holland. Survivors include her children, Leone Smith, Blaine, MN, Diane (John) Hillman, Nashwauk, Mark (Linda) Holland, Nashwauk, Susan (Tim) Stroeder, Bowdle, SD; Rick (Christine) Holland, Hibbing, and Karrie (Eric) Stroeder, Mobridge, SD; 20 grandchildren: 37 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson; a brother, Lester Olson, Isle, MN; and a sister, Henrietta Holland, Isanti, MN.
