Kahron Palet, age 51, loving wife to David and mom to Penny passed away of Metastatic Breast Cancer on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN.

Kahron loved life and appreciated every minute she had on this earth. After college, she had successful careers in Retail Management, as a Motivational Speaker, and ended her career managing a successful law firm.

After being diagnosed with Stage4 Breast cancer, Kahron became a fierce advocate in the breast cancer community, sitting on Government Department of Defense Research Panels, speaking at and attending events for Living Beyond Breast Cancer, and counseling newly diagnosed Metastatic patients. She also spoke at conferences and educated the public on the need for focused research to save the lives of the 40,000 women and men who die each year of breast cancer. Kahron believed this was her biggest mission in her life, to help save the lives of future metastatic patients.

She loved helping others and doing random acts of kindness. Kahron loved to laugh, and greatly appreciated and found joy in every day she was alive. Whether she was hiking, skiing, camping, reading or fishing, she had a passion for anything outdoors, and that is why she ended up living in Grand Rapids, Mn. She wanted to live out her last few years having fun with the love of her life on her dream lake property.

Kahron had a passion for cooking for others and authored a cookbook to give out to family and friends to remember her.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Ron Poradek and her brother, Kevin Runge. Kahron is survived by her husband David; sister Patti ; nephew, Jake; and parents, Betty Poradek and Dave Runge.
