Joyce Elaine Puttonen, 65, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center, Bemidji, MN. She was born January 23, 1953 in Hibbing, MN to Arvid and Edna (Sorvari) Puttonen. Joyce graduated from Cook County High School in Grand Marais, MN and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. She worked for the Ford Motor Plant for many years in St. Paul, MN and in food service at River Grand Assisted Living. Joyce loved to cook and spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed their "Tupperware bingo". She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dennis Puttonen; sisters, Janice Fields, Carol Daylida and her dog, Katie. Joyce is survived by her siblings, Allan (Polly) Puttonen of Lone Oak, TX, Judy Bok of Colorado Springs, CO, Geary (Mary) Puttonen of Bovey, MN, Kenneth (Cindy) Puttonen of Grand Rapids, MN; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
