John R. Lofgren, 88, of Deer River, formerly of St. Paul, passed away on April 11, 2013 at his home. John was a World War II veteran and later a businessman in St. Paul. He was dedicated to his family and protecting nature. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Les Lofgren and Jay (Pam) Lofgren; six grandchildren, Angela, Tim, Joe, Tom, Britta and Jack; one great-grandson, Guy.
