John V. "Jack" Trembath, 84, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota left us peacefully at his home on Thursday March 7, 2013. John was born to John and Minnie Trembath in Hibbing, MN and graduated from Greenway high school. He then joined the US army. After his discharge he met the love of his life, Dorothy Olson and they were united in marriage on Nov. 19, 1949. John was a welder for Cleveland Cliffs Mining for 35 yrs. John and Dorothy loved to camp and fish and spent a lot of time at Deer Lake Campground on Cutfoot Sioux. He was a talented wood carver and a wonderful care giver most of his adult life. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 yrs, Dorothy; daughter, Debbie; granddaughter, Shelly Brooke; parents; and two sisters, June Trembath of Grand Rapids and Elaine Russ of Connecticut. He is survived by his children Jim (Sandy) Tulek, Jean (Bill) Streu, Jack (Lynne) Trembath, Donna (David) Hawkinson, all of Grand Rapids, and Judy (Rob) Wilson of Hibbing; one brother, Robert Trembath of Madison, WI; son-in-law, Dave Nichols; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grand children and many nieces and nephews.
