Jeffrey Ross Kangas, 68, of Bovey, MN, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Grand Village, Grand Rapids, MN. He was born December 12, 1949 in Grand Rapids, MN to Walter and Shirley (Ranger) Kangas. Jeffrey was a proud graduate of Greenway High School in the class of 1968. He worked in the mines as a mechanic and retired from Irathane Industries in Hibbing, MN. Jeffrey enjoyed hockey, watching the Minnesota Twins, woodworking and visiting friends and family who came for sauna. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, David Kangas. Jeffrey is survived by his brother, Terence (Janice) Kangas) of Bovey, MN; nephew, Kevin (Karri) Kangas of Cloquet, MN; niece, Leslie (Rian) Reed of Trout Lake, MN; grand-nephew, Adam Kangas; grand-nieces, Emily Kangas, Kaisa and Kalle Reed; and longtime devoted partner, Diane Burt of Bovey, MN; and many other relatives and friends.
