Irene Jeanette Pochucha, age 87, of Goodland, Minnesota, passed away, surrounded by family, on May 3, 2013. Irene was born in St Paul, MN, to Irene and Adolph Port. She lived in the Wawina - Swan River area and graduated from Grand Rapids High School. She married Lewis Pochucha and resided in Goodland where they raised their family. Irene dedicated her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and sister. She loved having family gatherings at her farm in Goodland, which she was so proud of. Her enjoyments were cooking, baking, crocheting afghans, bingo, puzzle books and game shows. She will always be remembered for her everlasting courage, strength and kindness. She has exemplified the true meaning of "Inner Strength". Her gift of laughter touched the hearts of many. Preceded in death by her parents, husband: Lewis, two grandsons: Christopher Fedie and Baby Boy Pochucha, four brothers: Adolph, Ernie, John and Howard Port, and sister: Evelyn Morgan. Irene will live on in the hearts and lives of her five children: Dorothy (Dave) Fedie, Dana (Karlene) Pochucha, Alex (Stephanie) Pochucha, Luke (Jackie) Pochucha, Mary (Charlie Ellefsen) Dittman, Twelve grandchildren: Jill Fedie, Heath (Heather Blackford) Pochucha, Nate (Lindy) Pochucha, Gabe (Emilie) Schmid, Dustin (Laurie Moberg) Fedie, Sarah (AJ) Dorff, Chelsie (Derrick) Plath, Danielle (Kevin) Pillsbury, Brittany (Derek) Lundeen, Michelle Pochucha, Zachary (Breanna Haag) Pochucha and Michael Pochucha, Five great-grandchildren: Lydia, Knox, Mack, Jackson, Eli and one bun in the oven, two brothers: Robert (Jean) Port and Chet (Karen) Port, sister-in-laws: Dorothy Bigo, Phylis Port and many nieces and nephews.
