Irelene (Johnson) Lohman, age 80, of Grand Rapids, Minn, and Superior, Wisc., passed away April 27, 2011 in Evergreen Terrace in Grand Rapids. Irelene (Johnson) Lohman, age 80, of Grand Rapids, Minn, and Superior, Wisc., passed away April 27, 2011 in Evergreen Terrace in Grand Rapids. Irelene's greatest joys in life were her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She lived her life with a spirit of compassion and love that was evident to all who knew her. She was a home maker and enjoyed spending her time being surrounded by family with laughter and love. Memories of Irelene will always include children who she lovingly referred to as "€˜precious child', laughter, rummage sales, a good cup of coffee, and great meals. Fond memories of her cinnamon rolls, apple pies and homemade bread will live on forever. Her connection with God was reflected every day by her love for life, her spirit of forgiveness and her strength in overcoming adversity. She leaves a legacy of spirituality, strength, courage and unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Johnson in 2004; infant great-grandson, James Burnson, and two brothers, Aaron and Orville. Survivors include her children, Jim (Lorna) of Grand Rapids, Marvella (Earl) LeDoux of Brainerd, Minn., Gordy of Grand Rapids, Judy (Elmer) Rupert of Pengilly, Minn., Karen Sobey of Grand Rapids, Doug of Riverdale, Utah, and Mike of Hibbing, Minn.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Boyce of Hibbing; and one brother, Marvin Wedin of Faribault, Minn. Visitation is from 10:00 until the 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday May 2 in the Triumphant Life Church in Bovey, Minn. Burial is in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
