Helen A. Kuschel, 92, of Grand Rapids, Minn., passed away Friday May 18, 2012, in Crystal Lake Home. Helen A. Kuschel, 92, of Grand Rapids, Minn., passed away Friday May 18, 2012, in Crystal Lake Home. Helen was born August 24, 1919 in Minneapolis to George and Selma Hoehn. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School. She married Donald Kuschel on January 26, 1940. Helen worked at Kremer's for many years and then worked for Blandin Paper Company from 1964 to 1984. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Helen was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, George Hoehn and Lawrence Mood. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Carpenter and Judy (Jerry) Washburn, all of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don Hoehn of Montana, Alfred (Betty) Mood of Arizona, and Douglas (Marion) Mood of Montana; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is on Tuesday May 22 from 10 until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids.
