Grace Arlene Brown, age 95, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away surrounded by her family, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her home at Majestic Pines.

Grace was born March 24, 1930, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Lynn and Ella (Gravelle) Boardman.  She grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Grand Rapids High School.

Grace was united in marriage to Warren Willliam "Digger" Brown on February 4, 1950, in Grand Rapids. Grace and Digger resided their entire married life and raised their five children Grand Rapids.  She was devoted to her family as a wife, mother and homemaker, roles that she treasured. After the kids were grown, Grace stayed busy and active working for various businesses in Grand Rapids including Dr. Gibbon's Eye Clinic, Anthony's Clothing, Bergquist Manufacturing, and Blandin Tree Farm just to name a few. Following retirement Grace and Digger spent 10 years of wintering in Arizona. She enjoyed sewing and loved creating Raggedy Ann dolls for her grandchildren. Grace took great joy in canning jelly for her family and was a wonderful cook.

Grace is survived by her children Dennis (Debra) Brown, Lynn Bennett, Becky (Tim) Ellis, Robert Brown, Michael (Kelly) Brown; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister Peggy Swan; brothers Warren "Butch" Boardman, Paul Boardman. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren "Digger" Brown; parents Lynn and Ella Boardman.

A Celebration of Grace's Life will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Majestic Pines Senior Living in Grand Rapids (1614 Golf Course Road). Interment will be at Itasca Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN.
