Gary Donald Pion, 61 of Grand Rapids, Minn. died unexpectedly October 24, 2011 at his home. Gary enjoyed the numerous trips he made to the Black Hills in South Dakota and the leisurely rides in the country on his motorcycle. He retired from Blandin Paper Company after more than 25 years of service. Gary especially loved spending time with his granddaughter, Madelin. Surviving family includes his son, Eric, (fiancée, Mandy Raddohl) St. Cloud, Minn.; granddaughter, Madelin Pion; mother, Harriet Winkleblack, Grand Rapids, Minn.; and three sisters, Carole (Randy) Pastorius, St. Paul, Minnesota, Laurie (Ted) Kelly, Casper, Wyoming, and Lisa (Kris) Powell, Fallon, Nevada.
