Gary Melvin Mallum, 65, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Grand Rapids, MN. He was born January 28, 1952 in Grand Rapids, MN to Melvin and Donna (Brink) Mallum. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School and spent two years in the U.S. Navy. Gary married Alice Hanson in 1973. He attended ICC's welding program and worked for Brink Sand & Gravel along with Brink Farms. Gary then worked in Construction for 27 years. He loved hunting, fishing and everything that involved the outdoors. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cohasset, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Travis Mallum in 2013. Gary is survived by his daughters, Amy (Andrew) Glusica of Grand Rapids, MN, Bobbi Mallum of Bovey, MN; brother, Jim (Cindy) Mallum of Cohasset, MN; sisters, Kristi (Kenny) Nelson of Cohasset, MN, Cindy (Claude) Winquist of Apache Junction, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Mallum, Madalyn Mallum, Lily Keteri, Richard Mallum, Hayven Mallum and Jack Glusica; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, November, 10, 2017 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 35568 Foxtail Ln, Cohasset, MN 55721. Pastor Mark Peske officiating.
