Gary Lee Card, 71, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Grand Village. He was born June 22, 1947 in Hibbing, MN to Lee Roy and Delta (Wertz) Card. Gary is a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver until his retirement. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, car racing; country music and giving people a hard time. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gayland Card; and infant sister, Donna Jean Card. Gary is survived by his children, Michele (Mark) Leraan of Gordon, WI, Cheryl (Chris) Peterson of Lincoln, NE, Timothy Card of Grand Rapids, MN; 5 grandchildren, Kaila Davis, Valerie Peterson, Kelly Peterson, Ashlynn Card, Nathan Card; 1 great-grandchild, Bailee Davis; significant other, Annette Anderson of Grand Rapids, MN; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Grand Rapids Baptist Church, 1105 Horseshoe Lake Rd. with military honors accorded by the Grand Rapids Area Veterans Color Guard.
