Franklin Edward Herendeen, 92, of Cohasset, MN passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids, MN.

He was born on September 6, 1932, in Grand Rapids, MN to Burt and Remer (Peterson) Herendeen.  Frank graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1951.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served from 1953-1955 on the 5th Army rifle team.  Franklin married Dianne Skorheim on July 3, 1980, in Elk River, MN.  He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, target practice, and riding in the woods in his side by side.  Frank was the owner of Automatic Garage Door Company in Fridley, MN and advised people on all aspects of their garage door needs.  He was a carpenter and could fix anything.  Frank was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2023 in Grand Rapids, MN.  He enjoyed playing cribbage and bingo.  Frank was a man with many stories and words of wisdom which he shared willingly.  His favorite saying was "Pay Attention".

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Herendeen; and a sister, Marilyn (Herendeen) Davis.

Frank is survived by his wife, Dianne (Skorheim) Herendeen of 44 years; daughter, Joy (Troy) Decker of Story, WY; two grandchildren, Mitch (Alyse) Sullivan and Shea (Jill) Sullivan; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Saige Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Libbey Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Inurnment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN at a later date.
