Florence Elizabeth (McCann) Hunter, 96, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Majestic Pines in Grand Rapids, MN. She was born August 25, 1920 in White City, KS to Charles and Lily (Schraeder) McCann. She was born the 3rd of 13 children. She graduated High School in Clay Center, KS. And married Richard Hunter on Dec. 3, 1944 in California and worked for Beach Aircraft. She lived in Wichita, KS 1945 until 1957 and moved to Grand Rapids, MN. Florence worked for Bell Telephone for 18 years and worked for Walmart for 14 years. She was a member of the Red Hats, Order of the Eastern Star and the Community Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hunter; parents; brothers, Charles, Bill and Lloyd McCann. Florence is survived by her son, Richard (Sheila) Hunter of Grand Rapids, MN; daughter, Terresa Peterson of Chaska, MN; brothers, Bob, Clifton, Lowell, James and Larry; sisters, Nancy, Venita and Retha; 4 grandchildren, 13 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
