Ellis "Babe" Best, 92, passed away on Sunday October 14, 2012 at Autumn Lane Assisted Living in Cohasset, Minnesota. "Babe" was born the youngest of nine children to George and Ella Best. He was a lifelong resident of West Cohasset, Minnesota. Following service in the U.S. Army in World War Two he returned to his West Cohasset farm. He also worked for many years at Hibbing Taconite. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1979; one brother and seven sisters. Ellis is survived by two children, Pat (Tom) Shannon of Cohasset and Dennis Best of Taconite; daughter-in-law, Sue Best; four grandchildren, Bradley (Tina) Shannon, Jennifer (Phil) Storlie, Heather (Tony) Wilson, and Christopher Best; seven great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Delores Christenson.
