Edward Arthur Romans, 90, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away on February 25 2025.
Edward graduated from high school in Grand Rapids and then went on to Radio School in Chicago, IL at Devry University. He was then drafted into the Army where he served for 2 years as a radio tech. After returning home, Ed started working as a TV and Radio repairman until he started his business, Itasca TV, with two partners around 1960. On April 4th 1964, Ed was united in marriage to Sandra Lea Walburn. Ed had a love for old time western music, snowmobiles, boating, and traveling the United States and seeing the sights. He was often heard quoting Elvis, saying "Thank you, thank you very much!".
In his later years Ed worked as a custodian in various school districts around northern Minnesota, Gardener, Kansas and Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. He and Sandra returned home to live at the family farm in Grand Rapids with their son, Darren for the remainder of their lives.
Edward was preceded by his wife, Sandra Lea Walburn Romans; his mother, Agusta Christina Shumacher Romans; his father, William Arthur Romans; and sisters, Lillian Romans and Ruth Romans Kent.
He is survived by children, Jose 'Joe' Carrillo (Linda), Lorian Sandra Carrillo Johnson (Scott), and Darren Edward Romans (Heika) along with 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday August 2, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM and lasting until the 3:00 PM memorial service. Military Honors will be rendered at 4:00 PM, with burial at a later date at Harris Cemetery.
